What is Science Park®  ?

Science Parks® are interactive exhibits or equipment designed to be used by children for a deeper understanding of academic concepts in outdoor spaces. It promotes the learning of school subjects like physics, chemistry, biology, geography, mathematics etc.

Commercial Science Park® was first started in India by Ankidyne®  in 1993 with our first project done for the NGO ASSEFA. Since then, Ankidyne® has done thousands of Science Park® installations across India and abroad in the last 30 years.

How is Science Park® designed?

Science Park® helps students understand various modules or topics taught in class, by setting up these facilities of learning within the school campus and letting children explore on these equipment to understand their subjects better. Ankidyne®  believes in learning through experimenting, self-exploration, and questioning. Research suggests the same.

Our products are designed in such a way that we allow the children to observe first and come up with their own ideas, solutions, and theories. Only after allowing time and space for children, do we present them with the actual concept and working.

Each product is provided with a user manual that explains the working of the equipment and the working attached to it. Students are also offered real-life applications in some cases too.

Why do we need Science Park®?

Science Park

The world desperately needs creative thinkers and problem solvers. Years of colonialism and other socio-political factors have diminished the thinkers in us and confined us to textbook education and mark production. We seem to have forgotten that good and in-depth understanding, caused by effective and concerned teaching methods, would automatically produce great results and ultimately great students who contribute to the betterment of their surroundings.

Workplaces want individuals who can learn, understand, and apply themselves. Recruiters are not looking for anything more major because students who meet these basic criteria are rarely produced by schools and colleges. Educational institutions have forgotten the purpose they serve. By competing within themselves and being focused on marks, these institutions that have been given the responsibility of preparing the next generation of people who will lead and participate in society, have not really gotten us where we could have reached.

With the right education, children would have been able to contribute to the betterment of the world in different ways. It could be through the sciences, art, or technology. In their roles, however big or small, directly or indirectly, by just doing their job well by themselves, the world would have become better one student at a time.

It is high time now that we shift the focus to good equality education that is centered on providing education that builds individuals who can observe, understand, think, and implement. With global phenomena like recession, inflation, global warming, war, and other issues that disrupt our everyday functioning, it is crucial that we provide a greater standard of education to all children. Invariable of which school they study in, how much their parents earn, and which corner of the world they belong to.

Abdul kalam

Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, our former and beloved president, the great scientist, believed in the potential that is children. Ankidyne®  follows Dr Abdul Kalam’s footsteps and to this day we remember how he appreciated Science Park® and how he believed that we needed to do it in more places. He cemented our mission and we carry it with us every day, with every installation we do in a school or park.
